Wayne Rooney: Back to winning ways
October 20, 2008 by SportFiesta
Christiano Ronaldo did leave critics and fans stunned last year, reigning in the goal scoring front, but Sir Alex Fergusson certainly knows how to manage his team and enhance personal development for winning players.
With Christiano having started to season with injury status and a lot of other Manchester United players warming the benches at the start of the Premier League season, Wayne Rooney has emerged a winner.
Of course he’s a good player and there’s been enough public outcry this season for playing him in too many positions which is an obvious result of Berbatovs inclusion in the Manchester United squad.
Rooney has in fact benefitted from all the pushing around rather than being suppressed. Whether as a lead striker, defender or left winger.
Wayne has put back a winning spark as a Manchester United player and is a winning striker for England. The past few games have gone well for him and in his past 5 appearances, Wayne Rooney has been rewarded with 7 goals.
With so many qualifying games for England on the cards in the international front, Manchester United is positioned at 8th place with one game in hand.
Their Saturday game is scheduled against West Brom and a win will see their points soar to 14, placing them in 3rd place in the contention for championship points in the EPL.
Certainly things looked just a little unsure at the start of the season for Man Utd with Chelsea, Liverpool, arsenal, and surprisingly Hull city getting off to flying starts.
It does seem the unsettling storm has been brought under control and Manchester United is back to its winning glory, steadily climbing the points ladder.
Great games to look forward to if you’re a Manchester United fan. With all their pomp and gaiety, star studded players and winning ways, here’s a team that never lets a dull moment creep in.
